Healing Hands

March 23, 2018

I am filled with joy today because this marks sixty days after they said our little monkey "maybe" a month to live.

Well, they do not know Jesus the Healer.

But that is okay because I do, and let me tell you what little I know about my Savior.

Jesus said in Mark 16:18, "...they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover."

Not maybe they will recover, not if they recover but they SHALL recover.

So, that is exactly what we did. Even through the tears and quivering lips, my husband and I believed in what the Word said about healing.

We laid hands onto Blade and prayed against what the Gospel of John mentions in chapter ten about the enemy, "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy."

We have been praying for this little guy since January 22nd.

Every. Single. Day.

Shortly thereafter, we received two Words that he would be healed and we were told, "Do not cease praying."

Naturally, the enemy would try to surface but we continued to walk in faith and obedience and prayed as commanded in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, "Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."

Let me be brutally honest, there were good days and there were not so good days. There came a time when my belief fell short and I cried, "...Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!" found in Mark 9:24.

And you know what? He did, because He is FAITHFUL

These past two months have strengthened our prayer life, our level of faith, our perseverance, and even our marriage.

In return, days turned into weeks and weeks have turned into months and here we are celebrating with our companion over a jar full of peanut butter. And I know, without a shadow of a doubt, our pup is healed and he will NOT die by the hands of the enemy.
